This is the least interesting parasol in a lot of three that I bought on ebay. Not that there is anything wrong with it--it works just fine--but it is pretty plain right now and is very similar to one of my earlier purchases. It does need to be cleaned up a bit and recovered.
The current cover is quite obviously not the original. It is a very thin silk that seems to have been a scarf in a former life and does not fit the frame properly at all. This cover's only virtue seems to be that whoever decided to recover it made sure to match the pattern at the seams. At any rate, it must go if this parasol is to be used.
I don't have any ideas for covering it yet, but it may find new life as an early bustle summer parasol for an upcoming event.
